June 1, 2024 Celebration of Marie M. Ashdown, Executive Director of Musicians Emergency Fund 1984-2023

One Hundred of us gathered at the Rose Studio at Lincoln Center to honor the leadership of Marie M. Ashdown. A spoken tribute was offered by Aldo Badini, Counsel to MEF (now called Musicians Advocacy Fund).  Wu Han (Artistic Advisor) and Kristin Lancino (Executive Director) announced the Spring 2024 Grantees and offered a brief history of the organization which dates back to 1931.  A highlight performance was given by violinist Kristin Lee and pianist Michael Stephen Brown.
