MAF Grants
Our application for one-time financial assistance grants is open to professional musicians primarily in the realm of classical music. If you are a professional musician, composer, or non-profit music organization in need of financial assistance, please explore below to see if you might qualify for a financial grant.
Requirements
For over 90 years the Musicians Advocacy Fund (formerly known as the Musicians Emergency Fund) has been dedicated to supporting extraordinary young musicians and nonprofit organizations. Founded in 1931, the original goal was to provide assistance to professional artists during the difficult years of the Great Depression.
- Must be a professional musician, composer, or nonprofit music organization
- Funds received by MAF will be used only for the artist’s or organization’s needs as indicated in your project details. No funds may be attributed to other projects
- Confirm that you are an American or Naturalized Citizen or Organization or Green Card Holder. Or confirm that you are an American organization
- Confirm that the applicant will oversee details of the project and provide a summary of the project upon completion
- Provide a short biography of you as an artist or organization and include website information
Application Process
Click the Apply Now button below to submit your application. Your application will be reviewed by our screening committee. Additional information or documentation may be requested. If you are approved for a grant you will receive an email confirmation. Applications for the next round are due March 31, 2026.
